I say they deserve what they got... friggin' screw-up kids playing Nintendo and fartin' around all day on iTunes. Ok... I kid... I kid... Apple II was epic. But you know what they don't teach anymore on Apple computers? Logic. The people that built the Internet as we know it (people like you and me) started with learning basic programming. Basic logic. Not BASIC the language per se, but rather the ideas of it all. I'm not pissed as much as sad that my daughter will never read a book and have to input code into a computer to choose the direction of the story.  Am I just nostalgic? Probably... but why not teach children how computers work these days? I mean they teach other high-level concepts (poetry, finance) through low-level instructions (English, math) - so why not teach children the building blocks on which their future will ultimately either depend on or travel through? I can only assume other countries have already figured this out or will certainly before we do which is what depresses me. Well at least the burglars were able to disable the alarm... I'm sure that took some skill - probably read how to do it on the Internet. --------------------

Agreed. Theft was one reason, among many others, that we've taken the virtualization route. Having thin clients out on campus decreases the incentive to steal, especially when the device is pretty much useless when off the network. Now if only there were a legal virtualization solution for Macs.
